Biography

My main interests are theoretical and practical measures of consciousness. My goal is to advance such measures and develop a better understanding of consciousness, especially its qualitative aspects. Specifically, during the last 5 years I have been developing the Integrated Information Theory (IIT) of consciousness, mainly introducing a new information measure that is based on the IIT postulates instead of traditional information measures’ properties, which are based on the extrinsic perspective of an experimenter or channel designer. Instead, the new information measure uniquely satisfy the postulates, which are based on the intrinsic perspective. I’m also interested in applying and improving current methods of EEG source localization.

Research Interests: consciousness, information, measure, theory, EEG source localization.
