Neurologist
Biography
Elena Monai is a neurologist working with Prof. Melanie Boly at the Department of Neurology, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Center for Sleep and Consciousness. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Padova, Italy, where she also completed her Neurology residency under the mentorship of Prof. Maurizio Corbetta. She has been working on neuroimaging, as well as TMS-EEG, HDEEG, and iEEG. Her interest in understanding the neural mechanisms of consciousness embraces theoretical and clinical aspects, being ultimately devoted to improving the diagnosis and treatment of patients with disorders of the content and level of consciousness.
